My Wish

If I walked along that sandy beach
and saw a lantern within my reach,
I’d pick it up by its tarnished end,
three wishes I would make, my dear friend

To take away the pain and sorrow
and make each today a new tomorrow.
To set us on a path filled with peace
where the raging wars will finally cease.
And to show us hope & endless love
fulfilled with His glory from above.
